Crafting inner wonder : Fairy door workshop

I believe that reconnecting with ourselves doesn't always have to look like shadow work or healing our wounds.

Sometimes, it looks like giggling and walking barefoot in the woods.

Sometimes, it looks like noticing the tiny details and beauty are already surrounding us.

Sometimes, it looks like gathering moss, twigs and little treasures to create a magical doorway for fairies, simply because something inside us wants to play.

My Fairy Door Workshops were born from that place.

Ps : This space initially created for playful children is also open to grown-up fairies too !

A space to breathe and play…

This summer, I somehow ended up with my dream job:

Being a full-time fairy.

Alongside being a cleaning fairy at a wonderful campsite, I became its Chief Fairy every week, surrounded by excited little ( and grown up) explorers searching for the perfect piece of wood, stone, moss or treasure to create a tiny door into their own magical world.

And something really lovely happened.

The workshops were met with a lot of enthusiasm.

Children got absorbed in creating. Adults watched with a smile, some even joined in.

And I realised that perhaps we don't really grow out of magic.

Sometimes, we simply need someone to encourage us to play again.

The Process

My fairy door workshops are playful, nature-inspired crafting experiences designed to bring together imagination, creativity, nature and connection. They are primarily created for children, but after a few enthusiastic requests from some very tall children, I now offer them to adults too.

The workshop invites you to slow down, look closely at the natural world around you and create something tiny and magical with your own hands.

During the workshop

Imagine : Who might live behind your fairy door? What kind of fairies, creatures or little beings would you like to invite into your world?

Explore : We take a gentle, mindful walk to look for natural treasures: pieces of wood, stones, moss, leaves, twigs and other little treasures.

Create : Then comes the exciting messy part: transforming your treasures into a unique fairy door.

The workshop lasts between 1h to 1h30, depending on the group’s size.

A workshop with a little more meaning

For me, this isn't simply a craft activity.

It is an invitation to slow down, notice what is around us and make space for imagination.

There is something wonderful about searching for a tiny piece of moss or the perfect twig, about creating without needing to be productive, about looking at a tiny door and wondering who might live behind it.

It is a little doorway into nature.

And perhaps, sometimes, a giant doorway back to ourselves.
